I got several emails saying about the national "gas-out" scheduled next week on May 15th 2007. Here is info below;

NO GAS....on May 15th 2007.

Dont pump gas on May 15th.

In April 1997, there was a "gas-out" conducted nationwide in protest of high gas prices. Gasoline prices dropped 30 cents a gallon overnight.

On May 15th 2007, all internet users are asked to not go to a gas station and pump gas in protest of high gas prices. Gas is now over $3.00 a gallon in most places.

There are 73,000,000+ American members currently on the internet network, and the average car takes 30 to 50 dollars to fill up.

If all users did not go to the pump on the 15th, it would take $2,292,000,000.00(thats almost 3 BILLION) out of the oil companies pockets for just one day, so please do not go to the gas station on May 15th and lets try to put a dent in the middle eastern oil industry for at least one day.

If you agree(and I cant see why you wouldnt), resend this to everyone on your contact list with it saying "Dont pump gas on May 15th".

By golly, I will NOT go get gas that day next week. Perhaps you should do the same thing.

These corporations might lose plenty of money for a day but whether wrong or right, life will go on for them...

Lets call it BLACK TUESDAY My whole family is in with this, but what needs to be done is not only don't buy gas but don't use the gas you already have on BLACK TUESDAY

What needs to happen is for this invent to take place at least once a week. Then they will truly notice and possibly cry uncontrollably...LOL! :D

"The premise behind all these messages is inherently flawed, because consumers' not buying gasoline on one particular day doesn't affect oil companies at all. The "gas out" scheme doesn't call upon people to use less gasoline, but simply to shift their date of purchase and buy gas a day earlier or later than they usually would The very same amount of gasoline is sold either way, so oil companies don't lose any money."

I agree 100%,it wont work for just that one day.I bet it would if we didnt buy for a week.WOW ! that would hurt their bank account.But of course we all have to get to work.

Americans are too lazy to refuse gasoline for an entire week. If I knew most people would do it, I definitely would go without it for an entire week.
