stock market 101?

:confused: pardon my ignorance........I have absolutely no idea what the numbers mean or how to understand the ups and down of the market! LOL, help :eek: can someone give me a quick lesson on the art of reading, understanding and maybe investing? Geez, I've been home too long with the kids :drunk:

Nobody can guess the markets . I use a few factors when picking stocks
1> Does the company provide a service that is needed by all ( electric- gas - petro products and agriculture & water distribution )
2> Do they have a good working capital and show a profit .
3> How long have they been in business and amount of employees.

I'm going to invest in all of the comapnies that will fall into this group . It is cheap enough to get a little bit of them all !! But rember not to wager more than you intend to lose . Be safe and do research on each company . I believe there is a past post that has all the trading companies on the ISX and most of them have a web address . :happy26:
