Anyone have an answer for this one? :(I am in daily contact with a 21yr old Iraqi Sunni male that works with my husband. He is from Tikrit and his father was a general in Saddams Regime. His father has recently enlisted in the "New IRaqi" Army hoping to fight insurgients and make a better life. I am putting my dollars to dinars on the long suppressed IRaqi people to want freedom enough to prevail and succeed.

VERY well "put" Dreammy. One would think that tyrannical leaders/governments would take notice - You can't oppress people ALL THEIR LIFE!
I came across this a few minutes ago:

I really liked how the opening speaker used the terms "...democracy and Arabism" in the same sentence. Especially to a crowd of +800k.
This new era of thinking in the middle east could be very big, for many different fronts.

To tell you the truth? Having learned what I have learned about these people (everyday Iraqi people) over the last few months via emails with this young Iraqi and with my husbands experience there, I am MORE excited about seeing these people FINALLY have a chance. My excitement of investing in a few measely Dinars pales in comparision to my excitement for these people at this place in history and opportunity. I feel very close to ashamed of trying to ride on the coat tails of their pain. I think we all for what ever reasons each have on this forum, hope and pray for the success of this country, so small in square feet, yet so rich in resources, the least of which, not the people, highly educated and motivated to have a life free of hunger, fear, oppression.
Against all odds......
aye we have seen miracles against all odds. So exciting to watch and learn.
