Yeah heard this the other day, and you know what else, its quite a dangerous job what with most of the middle east hating him, allmost every muslim would like to kill him, and some others I think, loads of fatwaws out on him, lets hope anyway, plenty of hate mail I should think, 24/7 protection, away from the wicked witch and the brats for long days on end, he will need fully armoured cars to protect him from the road side bombs, every eating house he goes in will have to be empty because of back packing suicide bombers, never be able to shake hands in case of a poisen pin prick, takes a prick to know one, food tasters, constant headaches because of the job pressure, high blood pressure due to the stress, just about everyone will disagree with what he wants done and how to do it, constant jet lag, deep vein thrombosis, hopefully plenty of stomach ulcers....... boy do I hope he gets the job.....he deserves it.....could not have happened to a nicer fella.:happy64:
PS..not to mention the burn marks around the ankle and wrist due to the puppet strings being pulled by you know....WHO.

Madeleine McCann. Last thing we heard to have happened was the police got a tip of and a map from a Dutch newspaper that her body was buried on a plot of waste ground, it supposedly gave a map of where to look, think I am correct here, but the same newspaper had a similer tip and map about another couple of missing kids some years ago and then it turned out to be true, the police did say they thought it came from the same source.
Her Dad came over to London yesterday and was withdrawing money from a cash point machine when he had he's wallet pinched containing money etc, but most important their were pictures of Madeleine in the wallet, never been seen before and their are no copies.
We do have some (use your own words ) people here, but I would think that he stands a good chance of getting these photos back.

I never did understand what was so special to capture the UK's heart about an obducted child. That happens daily around the world. I am not trying to diminish the ferocity of the act - but why all the "Hub-Bub", Bub? Is her father kin to Princess Diana or Posh Spice? I just dont get it.

Rarely happens here at all..... thankfully.

It has captured the UK people because the family have kept going at it in the media, after all it is their child, many other familys perhaps dont have the money or resources or have even bothered to keep going at it and just left it to the police to sort out, which in this case might not have lasted to long and been filed away...another missing child, can you imagine any cop bothering to look to hard or long over a missing child in say outback Africa, most over here are disgusted that the family left her alone, but we are hoping the child is found safe for the childs sake.
You really have to ask yourself what would you do in this situation if it ever happened to you....how you think now wont be how you think God forbid if it ever happened.
Princess Diana died a few years ago, pretty sure no family ties here, Posh Spice and Becks had an allmost succesfull kidnapp attempt on one of her kids some years ago.
I think if it was one of mine that had be stolen I would be doing the same and saying to hell with others opinions.

Obviously, you are NOT a parent (or not a good one). Have you ever had your child run off in a department store and hide amongst clothes whilst you are browsing for just ONE second or in a Theme Park when they suddenly run off to a ride and you don't spot them in a crowd easily? Have you ever had to worry about losing them for 30 seconds, let alone 50 days (like Madeleine)? When you can answer that honestly then you will see the foolishness of your 'hubbub' comment.
And before you go off on 'you don't know what your talking about', I WAS kidnapped at 12 years old (along with Brother and Sister) and taken to another country in South East Asia for almost 9 months but after 6 months I managed to escape (I am not giving details so don't ask) and sought the help/kindness of virtual strangers who I lived with for 3 months before my Mother and her Boyfriend managed to come get me and mount a rescue for my Brother/Sister. They had NO support from the British authorities until AFTER returning to the U.K. This was over 30 years ago and the media was not as 'intense' about such things back then even though the story was published and on TV.
I agree with Baz, our media is a much more useful a tool and we have the Internet and the means to keep a search more prominent than before and ANY good parent would do what the McCann's are doing. However, I also strongly agree that they should NEVER have left young children alone in an Apartment, especially abroad. Our family has been in several countries in Europe even when our child was younger than Madeleine and, even when we went out at night, we would simply have her in a pushchair sleeping near us when at a Restaurant.
I imagine the McCann's will have to live with their mistake everyday if Madeleine is not found. They could have paid for a 'babysitter' as this was offered as a service at the holiday complex. However, they assumed that with only a 5 minute walk every 30 minutes their children would be safe. The question I would have asked myself here is: would they have done this in the U.K. i.e. leave their children whilst going to a Restaurant within walking distance??
