IMAGINE it's June 7, 1944, the day after the D-Day invasion. You pick up your newspaper. There's no mention of Normandy on the front page, and only a brief reference to it in a roundup story on an inside page.

The biggest battle since the invasion that toppled Saddam Hussein's regime is under way in Iraq. It's outcome could determine whether the war is won or lost. But our news media have paid less attention to it than to Paris Hilton's legal troubles http://www.toledoblade.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070623/COLUMNIST14/706230328/-1/NEWS

Good news doesn't sell. Why MOST people believe Iraq country is in civil war and has gone to pot. Fortunately we know better, and it will pay us to know better in time. :D

Why report what is actually going on and important in the world when you can talk about Paris Hilton! and make everyone angry by announcing that Rosie O wants to host PIR so we can all shoot her down

I hope operation ripper works. That would be great if it did. Perhaps we will all be one step closer to our dreams.
