A copy of the print sent to a friend of the Chamber of Deputies vote on the amendment salaries of state Zulfiqar Ali-07/03/2007 - 12:47 | number of readers : 128 media source said in the House that the council started its work today, Tuesday, led by Sheikh Khalid al-Attiyah, first deputy chairman of the Council, where he is scheduled to vote on the bill to amend the salaries of state employees, as well as complete discussion of the bill for the first amendment to the Law of the retirement system. The source explained that it is also scheduled to take place during the first reading of the draft law on the Fourth Amendment to the Ministry of Health (No. 10) of 1983 according to the Council's agenda for Tuesday's meeting as well as the voting and second readings of bills to rescind decisions Revolution Command Council dissolved.

I thought they were supposed to discuss the oil law today. I didn't see that on the agenda. At least they had a quorum, that in itself is a major accomplishment for these guys.

Yes they do SK but it looks like they're aiming to have them complete by end of July. ;)

The oil and gas law is one of four major challenges requiring new legislation by the Iraqi government. The other issues are the debaathification process, local elections, and reconsideration and review of the Iraqi constitution.
Success on these issues would push the political process ahead considerably. The US administration has been putting much pressure on the Maliki cabinet to work on these issues and issue the required legislation.

Hmmm with completion of the laws at the end of July and ISX going off Aug 2nd, not much time in between to do RV. I hope they don't forget to include that in their mid summer to do list.

I think they've been busy all along, Just took awhile for the speaker to get everyones attention.
Now if everone will turn to page 149, we'll continue with the agenda.....
