Attacks Kill 15 in Iraq, Including 5 Cleaning Women at U.S. Base

AGHDAD, Iraq, March 25 - A string of suicide bombings and armed assaults across central and northern Iraq on Thursday and today left at least 15 people dead, officials said.

The attacks, ending a week of relative quiet here, included three suicide car bombs, the assassination of a high-ranking police official and the killing of five Iraqi cleaning women working for the American military.

A dramatic reminder of the professionalism of our people and the progress that is being made in restoring security there. Even as tthe Iraqi citizens are protecting themselves (that's another story) :D
