I've searched through the User CP, but I can't find a way to adjust how quickly the forum logs me out due to inactivity. Is this something set by the Administrator?

I just wrote a lengthy response to a thread, but lost it because the forum had logged me out, presumably because I hadn't loaded a new page quickly enough.

Can the forum be set to not log people out until they close the browser window, or at least until they've been inactive for a long period of time (maybe 30 minutes)?

Do you have your user set to "remember me" When you log on, there is a check box next to your name. It has to be checked.

There is no automatic log out of the forum site if for some reason you do not toggle between windows in a certain amount of time. You might check your browser settings to see if that is an option within your browser.

Like others have posted.....I have left the fourm window up for hours at a time and am still logged in. And the "remember me" allows you to close your browser window down and the next time you bring the forum up....you will still be logged in. You do not have to log in each time you come on line...unless you deliberately logg off.

Thank you for your replies.

I don't click "Remember Me" because I'm using a government computer shared by lots of people.

I'll check the browser settings to see if I can fix it that way, but I'm a member of other forums that use the same software and haven't had the problem at those sites.

Thanks again.
