Baghdad: Washington's top envoy in Iraq said yesterday that increased US troop strength had brought down violence but it was impossible to rush political reconciliation or to predict when conditions would allow the US to begin reducing its involvement.
With less than two months remaining before Ambassador Ryan Crocker and Gen. David Petraeus, the US commander in Iraq, were to report to Congress about progress in Iraq, the top envoy also said that political reconciliation was going to be "a long, hard pull." "The surge [increase of 30,000 American troops] has done very well indeed in making a difference in security conditions."

Harry Reid can k*** my backside. The event to watch for is, if in fact, the Parliment does take it's month vacation with no legislation or policy put in place, I feel, unfortunately, leaving our troops in 120 degree weather fighting the fight, then the American people will turn a deaf ear to anything Crocker and Patraeus has to say in September and this party is over. Period.

Well no SHRIMP!!
Add about 25k more troops with a detail of security upkeep and suppression, let the other guys keep doing what they are doing and you're GONNA have security increase!
Why is this so hard to comprehend?
Add more boots, they kick more butts! WHAT?!?!
