From what I read this guy doesnt believe in the death penalty, meanwhile FNC is reporting 70 bodies found in the Tigris.
(the 100 hostage story was true)

Iraq needs a more hardcore leader who believes in killing murderers.
That message really needs to be sent , and soon.

This is an escalation on the terrorists part that must met with the same.

A little good news but plenty of bad. What is up with this new President coming out against the death penalty? Thats a great way to pull the country together. "Im the new leader and Saddam will live, if I have anything to say about it". Just shut up about it or how about a statement against the insurgency. Good God, these idiots may blow it yet. Now dont post and rip me, how can you not admit that was a stupid thing to say.

What a mistake. As long as Saddam is alive, there are those that will hold out hope of his return to power and refuse to abandon their terrorism.

I wonder if the new president feels if Saddam is put to death, that it may cause a revolt amongst the Sunnis and thereby create a civil war?

Maybe letting Saddam rot in jail is a better alternative that killing him and risking civil war.

What a mess!

I read where they would keep him alive as a hostage against what his kin might do. A bargaining chip of sorts.

I wonder if it has something to do with the cash he has stashed away around the world. While hes alive he can be sued. Its the american way.

He doesnt believe in "death penalty". Judging by the way this guy is failing at forming a government or stopping the insurgency I dont think it matters. Word in Washington is that Iraq is starting to fall apart. Our military is really getting pissed at the new government. Dont get pissed at me, I have good sources and all you have to do is read the news to confirm...things are going from bad to worse right now. I dont read PM so dont send me any. It cant be found out who I am.
