A bomb damaged a Sunni mosque in northern Baghdad overnight, the official said. This followed a suicide attack Friday on a Shiite mosque in Baghdad which left at least nine dead.
A Shiite leader warned of reprisals if Sunni Arab leaders failed to condemn the sectarian violence and the Sunni Committee of Muslim Scholars issued a statement blaming the mosque attack on "the allies of the enemies of the nation," adding that "nothing can undermine the unity of the nation".
