Been this way since we posted the rumors we heard out of Iraq. Which is why its easier to NOT say anything than it is to repeat what I've/we've heard.
Orginally, I felt so good about what I had passed on. Then the, what i perceived as, personal attacks started. I felt like i had to defend myself for what i had posted. (just like pooky) We aren't there, dont have access to the money changers and dont come in contact with the iraqi nationals.
What we do have are husbands that work in Iraq. They are the ones that hear the rumors first hand and pass them on to us.
Then of course the attacks started about KBR. Okay, so we complain about the injustices of the company. How many places have all of you worked where every employee was totally happy? Benefits, pay, and hours are always concerns. But now im a bleeding heart for complaining about the injustices. And publically blasted because of my opinions. Maybe i did bring some of it on myself, maybe not. Once again, its all in how something is perceived.
Trying to get a point across by typing it sometimes does not allow you to put the emphasis on the right words. But when you do open up and say something, it never fails to surprise me when the attacks start. On the thread about KBR, wow, major attacks there (perceived also?).
Its easier to just read and keep my mouth shut. I got a PM accuses me of bailing on Pooky. That surpised me also. The "dont listen to rumors" thread asked Pooky to scan and email the "proof" that she had. I felt that i was defending her in replying that maybe it was official KBR stuff and she could get in trouble for that. I also made the comment that it was dropped in snail mail. I didnt add up the dates to figure out the exact date that it would take to get here. My birthday was May 29th, i received a card my husband sent me about 2 weeks ago....it was postmarked the week BEFORE my birthday. Snail mail out of Iraq is not exactly the most dependable. But, woohoo, theres another thing we can attack.
Point is, we're all human flying on a wing and a prayer. We're all hoping for the same outcome and greedy for any info that will give us any indication when we might realize this dream.
Unfortunatly, the phrase "dont bite the hand that feeds you" comes to mind on this forum. Everyone wants info, but when rumors/heresay/truth are reported, we are expected to decipher EXACTLY what they meant. I'm afraid I cant do that.
Peace out to all. I'm not angry, just a little hurt by what i feel was unfounded critisism.
I'm not begging anyone to ask me to stay, dont need PM asking me to stay and really dont need rude comments. I just wanted to express how i felt. I think i stated a few days ago that i would keep everything to myself and thats what i've done. I have no intentions of posting heresay.

it sucks for those who like hearing rumors/facts/news/ from people, heck it's all INFO, somthing that seems to be very scarce. It seems everyone could seperate buisness from personal. (and just so THIS doesn't start something that wasn't directed at anyone so no flames, its just a general statement) :D
