They will say stay away. It is too volatile currently.
IE let the big bucks dudes get theirs first and then profit on us putting in on a mad dash to make something...
The subject was briefly brought up months ago. Kinda negative. It'll be interesting to see what the tone is this time.

Ok here are the notes I got please anyone feel free to give their input.
-1st 7 months of inception over 7 or 14 Billion(Couldn't quiet understand wwhich number was said) shares traded
-Volume has tripled, Stock Market is Booming
-Banking Sector was the booming sector (Surprise,Surprise) because of talks of Foreign Bank partnership
-Basrah Bank was one of the biggest gainers
-CEO of ISX Taha Abdul Salaam said 88 different stocks are now available, currently constructing new ISX Building 3-6 months from moving in. This will include an all computerized trading floor.
-Anxiuosly awaiting Foreign Investment (yeah we are too)
thats about all the notes I got anyone got anything else? This was a much more positive light on the ISX then the previously report appx. 4 months ago

just ssaw the news on fox about the iraqi stock market wasnt anything new but maybe it will bring more attention to it and more people will invest and in turn push the value of the dinar

Cavuto called the ISX "one of the Hottest Stock Exchanges on the planet"
Trading has tripled in the last 11 months, to an all time high of 14 billion shares. Investors are very "Optimistic" and said their returns and been 'very very good'. Staples like Bagdad Soda are being surpassed only by the banking sector. Starting with only 15 companies, they now offer over 100.
They are hoping that foreign investing will drive the market even higher. Larger, more high tech facilities are being built and should open in about 3 - 6 months. There is still a great deal of violence holding them back and the facility is surriounded by armed guards. Trading is only done 5 hours per week, on Mondays and Wednesdays.

What a pleasant supprise not a bit negative,was a rather glowing report.

On FOX's "Nick Cavuto" a segment was devoted to the growing Iraqi Stock Exchange (ISX). Currently, there are over 100 companies listed on the ISX. They indicated that since opening back in April of 2004, the ISX has nearly tripled in sales volume in spite of the fact that the ISX is only open 5 hours a week. Some of the leading areas include banking sector and soft drink industry. In spite of the ongoing threat of attacks by insurgents, it has not prevented foreign investment. In fact, in the next three to six months, the ISX will evolve from bids being placed on an eraserboard to a more high-tech readerboard system you see on Wall Street. :happy64:
