I'm sure the young woman deserved it. You have to earn a Fulbright, she's had the best education money can buy, all her life...

Did a little digging on this... there's some connection here...
"The purpose of the Fulbright Program is to promote "mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the peoples of other countries." Established in 1946 under legislation introduced by Senator J. William Fulbright from Arkansas"
http://www.fulbright.at/
"The committee met, pursuant to notice, at 11:05 a.m., in Room 4221, New Senate Office Building, Senator J. W. Fulbright (Chairman) presiding."

A friend said she'll probably give the money back. It doesn't make sense for a billionaire to accept a scholarship. She should give that money back so an equally bright student, who truly needs the cash, can take advantage of the opportunity.
I personally think she'll keep it...

Why apply for a scholarship just so you can give it back? I would imagine that ma and pa ketchup will give up the cash they earned on the big tax breaks their against also.

Some people do things just to see if they can, makes them feel superiour. It is pretty sad if she doesn't give the scholorship back when someone that doesn't have daddy to pay for everything could actually use the cash.
