I'm not trying to be sexist here, LOL, but if you're female and a dinar buyer - check in here. I just want to connect with the others without disrupting other threads.

Just so you know who you're talking to - I'm a single mommy of 3, make miserable money, and work 3rd shift making someone else rich. lol (no, I'm not in THAT profession! LOL)

I bought 1.5 mil dinar with tax return money, and am going to double that amount - maybe more. I've worked so hard for so little for so long and I really hope this pans out for all of us. After all, those 3 kids are going to want to go to college some day! lol

I have NO support for my purchase of the IQD from my family and I hope some day I can hand them a 25000 IQD that's worth it's face value.

Jacquie

p.s. guys can post here too! :D

let me be the first to congradulate you for being a honest hard workin mom,i can only imagine how hard it is having 3 kids being single, and workin 3rd shift hope by the time the dinar changes you will have at least have a better paying job and have more time to spend with the kids.

Thanks Tony! I do my best - and I get to spend time with them during the day, but I'm usually pretty shredded while doing it. I can play Scrabble while asleep, did you know that? lol :) Just like anyone else, I'd LOVE to make enough not to work anymore.... ahhh what a thought! :)

It would be so nice to be able to help those less fortunate than ourselves as well as be able to pay bills and not have to worry about if there is enough money to go around so everyone has what they need. dont know what new problems having money will bring on but they have to be way better than the problems you have when you dont have money...i found a house in upstate ny with acreage...no neighbors and close to family and big enough for family to come live if they want lol funny i see "mountain view" in the caption i think someone is gonna fall off a cliff can't live there...i see "waterfront" i think someone is gonna drown...it would be nice to have a car that seats just two people because you want and not have to get one that seats six because you have to.

Women, especially, share in Iraq's newfound freedom

By Jennifer Dunn
Special to The Times

Sixteen months after U.S. and coalition forces liberated Iraq from the grip of a brutal dictator, the dream of freedom is finally coming to fruition. On June 28, two days earlier than originally planned, the Coalition Provisional Authority transferred full sovereignty to the Iraqi interim government. The people of Iraq are finally free and have control over their destiny.

One sector of Iraqi society where remarkable progress has been realized is in the lives of Iraqi women. After decades of repression and government-sponsored torture and abuse, Iraqi women now have access to educational and professional opportunities. And they are fully embracing the new opportunities by taking jobs as government officials, educators, small-business owners, police and security guards, and engineers. The new constitution also includes a provision calling for a target of 25 percent representation for women in the forthcoming transitional national assembly.

Rhonda

Dinaro, thanks for that article. We need to see more positive articles such as that instead of the ones reporting all of the gloom & doom. It's great to see that the Iraqi women are now going to be able to be a part of the rebuilding of their country. It sounds like there are some strong-willed, passionate women that have the desire & determination to become a major part of the business sector there. If that becomes the common goal for all of the women, to take full advantage of all of the new educational & professional opportunites, it would enable them to be a positive influence contributing to the success of their country's new found freedom. That would be such an awesome accomplishment, one that I myself, would love to see take place! Once again, I appreciate you thinking of the women here in our forum.

Blessings to you & yours,

Rhonda :o

Hey there girlies!

I just noticed that I commented on that cool article Dinaro posted here and that I never gave my 411!

I live down South in the great State of Texas, married for 2 years (been together for 9), I am a mother of 1 - a 14 yr. old, hormone raging, know-it-all son that is in dire need of an attitude adjustment! Can anyone else relate to that one?? My husband works as a Machinist, Turbine Foreman for a small company here that travels all over Texas & LA, working in the Dow Chemical/Union Carbide Plants. I have the pleasure of working here from home, owning my own business, brokering various types of notes. I am also the proud Aunt of 5 nieces, 2 nephews & another on the way. I'm very involved in all of their lives. Which by the way, Jacquie, is the reason that I never made it here the night that you started this, I had my 9 month old little angel.

We just recently found out about the NID over the 4th of July weekend while we were out of town visiting family. I have been addicted to this group ever since. I, as well, am having a hard time trying to convince my family that this is a once in a lifetime, sure thing. Whenever they are watching me go in and out of town on luxurious vacations every other week, they'll be wishin' that they weren't so damn hard headed, won't they! Just kiddin'! Until then, I'll keep increasing our stash, because even though they didn't want to get on board this ship, I'll still "give" them a piece of the pie. Before I ever leave on one single vacation, the needs of ALL my family members will have been met. Because I believe that the Lord giveth AND the Lord taketh away.......especially from those filled with greed.

AND after all are taken care of........I'm on my way to meet Heather & the rest of the gang 'cause we're headin' on to that Spa!! It's great to meet everyone. I'm looking forward to establishing some long, lasting relationships out of this & being able to follow everyone's personal success stories.

Patiently awaitin',

Rhonda :happy26:

Nice post Rhonda! Like to hear where you all are and what your stories are! :D

I agree that greed is a scary thing - and I really do want to give back to all the people in my life that have helped me out so much over the years with my kids.

I have always been very touched about the plight of the Iraqi women. It's their stories of oppression, rape, murder, that set it right in my mind that removing Saddam was a good thing - no matter what other reasons there were (or weren't.) I think I have changed inside since the start of our involvement in Iraq. I know gas prices are high, food is more expensive, daycare is outragous!, there are less free resources for my kids in school, etc.... but I'm SO GRATEFUL that I have a roof over my head, that I can support myself, I have clean water to drink and my kids have clothes, shoes, and can attend school, there IS food to be bought! All in all, I feel like we have it pretty good. And I can't wait to see Iraq "have it good" too.

Check out this site, and read the eye-opening stories: http://www.womenforiraq.org/home.php

You never know about people! I have to be careful, because my family openly talks about everything - people listening may have weak stomachs! I especially have to be careful when talking because I talk fast. For instance: I was holding my baby and someone mentioned her peeling head. I said, "Oh, it's just CRADLE CRAP" . . . I meant to say Cradle CAP! The person looked horrified! :p

Well I am new here as of today....been watching and reading for the past 2 weeks and decided to introduce myself to everyone. I am from Dallas, Texas been married for 28 years, have 2 sons 24 & 25 and am still dealing with their raging hormones.!!!! :crying: Don't mean to be discouraging to all the ladies and gents dealing with the same issue.....but if anyone who has already been through this has any suggestions....it would be greatly appreciated.

Otherwise, when the dinars come through....they will get their fair share and me and the hubby are off to find our own private island after we stop off at the chocolate spa for a week!!!! :happy64:

I think we all need to meet somewhere one weekend and have a gtg when the dinars do finally open up and just relax and get to know each other better.

As far as myself....I have inherited a family owned Quick Lube and Automotive Repair center along with all the debt that came with it. So needless to say, when the dinars come through for us.....we and our employees will all breath a lot better. We will make sure our employees are taken care of as well. This has got to be a dream come true.....that is when the dream does come true!!! hehehehehe......

Anyways.....gotta go close the shop down. Looking forward to getting to know all of you better

What a great group of people!! I have been reading along with everyone since May(Truck and Barter days). Never posted but had to introduce myself in the 'girls world'. I am 32 living in Texas with my husband and 2 daughters. We have another child on the way due Feb 2005. I work full time at a job I enjoy but doesn't pay that great and would love to be able to quit or go part time when the baby is born. My husband spent a year in Kuwait working for KBR, he brought home 2 mil dinar as our investment. I thought it was a waste of money at first but after finding you guys and gals and hearing all the great possibilities I wish he had bought more!! Both our families are very negative about the possibilities and continue to blast us about throwing our much needed money away. I would love to prove them wrong!!!

Thanks for all the great info from everyone.

And I'll even bet ya that for a few more Dinar, he'll even suck the chocolate right off of those lil' piggies of his! Now THAT would be PRICELESS!! :D
