A new rumor (formerly "A new one!!")

I know that I am going to get beaten up for this. Fist of all, THIS IS HEARSAY, A RUMOUR. I DONT PUT MUCH FAITH IN THIS.

I spoke to the Arab trader today where I pick up my dinars and asked him when the Dinar is going to hit the open market.

Here is his reply;
it will be on the market in October 2004. @ $1300,- per 1000000,- NID.
Thats it!!
This is a one man trading company who is still wanting to do business. He did not seem to be in any exceptional hurry to trade. By that I mean that he main objective seemed to be to trade, today or next week. The man thing was trade. he had time. i dont think that he will be involved in Iraqs financial planning or even be cleared to see any documents pertaining to such plans.
I thougt that you you would all like to know what I have heard be it good or bad.

By the way this was in Fahaheel, Kuwait.

Even considering the sources that sounds a lot more believable than the other rumor and is a lot more likely. 770:1$.

I understand your question. I have never had the pleasure of meeting any of the people you mentioned. I am working for a another contractor in Kuwait and have nothing to do with KBR either.

I am just passing on what i have heard , good or bad. I will let everyone make their own mind up to belive what the trader said or not as I am doing.

I understand the reason for not providing documents, however, they should have at least provided insite as to the source and content in a genarlized forum.

If they could not produce either of these two facts...then they should have never have posted in the first place...Yet they did post...

My ebay sales? Honey, the only thing i've EVER done on ebay was bid on some vine seeds.
I dont recall ever saying that i had documents, what i said was that my husband had spoken to his friend and passed the info on to me. My "source" was my husband (public knowledge) his source was his friend heider? ....never hid that fact.
Duncan, word to the wise, dude, keep it to yourself or in PM's....these people will attack with no provocation and will make you out to be a liar, ebay seller and anything else their beady little brains can think of.
There are few nice ones that are curious to know what you've heard, the others want concrete facts and "damn you if you cant provide that". Youll get PMs from people that really want to know what you've heard. They will keep it under the table also.
I've heard additional rumors, but wont post them hear. Strictly because i'm fed up with the nonsense. Although i did <perk> when i heard you mention mid october. Rumors must be coming out of the same area.

Don't worry about the troublemakers. A hardline approach as been set. Please use this forum to post any information you hear. Every bit of rumor is interesting and will be taken with a grain of salt by the mostly intelligent and mature audience of this board.
