I've been watching the Dinar exchange rate on Yahoo finance for the past several days and unfortunately it seems to be declining slowly but steadily these past days. This may just be a normal fluctuation but I'd like to know what others think. I'm just hoping this won't be just a steady drop towards worthlessness, and I have no reason to believe it is, but I'm still a bit concerned.

It's dropped to around 1:1421 right?
That's actually good, it means it is increasing slightly in value. You want the 1421 number to drop even more.
Normal mistake interpreting the exchange rate, you're not the 1st one to do that.
Either way, this flucuation is normal over the past 6 months or so, and is nothing to get too excited about at this point. Stand tight. ;)

Provide a link so we can see what you're talking about.
Regardless though....

A great suggestion might be to not even bother checking the rates until a year or two from now. If you don't have reason for the currency to be worthless, there is nothig to fret.

The fluctuations could very well be last trades. Keep in mind that not all Currency Tables show the spread. Some will just show last transaction.

I had been looking at Dinar/Canadian Dollar but i checked the US rate and you're right it's pretty much the same. Maybe it's also due to Canadian dollar fluctuations in value. I'm just paranoid that's all :lmao:

Just ignore the small fluctuations listed on yahoo and xe.... they mean nothing at the moment. The important converter is that of the Central Bank of Iraq which has been posted on here many times. That site has shown the dinar steady at 1460 for a while now!
