They actually instituted Sharia Law in ONTARIO CANADA a few years back to "ease the strain on the family courts". The gov. decided it was cheaper and easer to have imams decide family court cases involving Muslims.

It got tossed out only a few months later when human rights groups got a hold of the info and pointed out that a woman's testimony in Sharia courts is worth only 1/3 of a man's. It takes 3 women to equal the testimony of 1 man. (For this reason almost no rape trials are ever successful under sharia.)

Be vigilant folks. This stuff comes at you out of the blue dressed up as a nice money-saving venture for the government.

It seems that is has already started as we have public colleges and airports installing foot baths in the bathrooms for muslims to use before daily prayers. Where is the aclu on this?

Legally the argument to have foot baths is the same as the argument to have manger scenes and the Ten Commandments. I have been telling Christians for years to be careful which freedoms you demand from the gov. because they will be afforded to others as well.

Note that I have the same worry about all the powers that Bush has stacked onto the office of the president. They, too, will be afforded to every president from now on. It is a recipe for abuse and screw ups imho.

Mr I the difference is that the gov. does not pay for the one on a seasonal basis and a historical basis verses something used for daily prayers and need to be maintained with public money.

I hate to say it but I think I agree. There will come a time when these groups have organized themselves in masses against they who are not of them and we will be finally fed up with the government and the ACLU telling us that we have to cower to them.
