North Bank (website (http://www.northbkiq.com)) is listed on the cpa-iraq (website (http://www.cpa-iraq.org/economy/iraq_private_banks.html)) as a private bank (like Alwarka).

I went to the site and found that a bunch of their links didn't take me anywhere. So being that you seem to have some knowledge on it;

Do you know what the interest rate is?
Can you buy off the ISX through them?
Can you do your banking online or will it be through email?

I noticed that the online application page was not a secure page, and that they are only a few months old. :rolleye03

Anything you know would be helpful. I've opened the 2 accounts with Al Warka but haven't sent any money yet and am thinking I might just go for the other bank people are talking about. I'm really more interested in not losing my money than trading on ISX, and I'm thinking that if the increase in value is going to be at all slow I might as well be earning interest instead of just having cash in a safety deposit box. :D

Sorry - for not replying sooner... no, I don't know any more than this. I have sent many emails to banks. Other than Alwarka, North Bank is the only one to return one of my emails.

If I get more info, I'll post it.
