There is some serious evidence accumulating that we may be on the brink of not just global cooling, but an ice age More (http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2008/04/sunspots_and_a_possible_new_ic.html)

Good. I've been thinking it would be nice to cool it off down here in Arizona. Its a dry heat and everything, but ya know its nice to be cool once and awhile....

Wont happen this summer. Colorado is bracing for the hottest temps and highest fire-season in recorded history. Luckily at home we are upgrading our air-conditioning system.

Not supposed to happen until the next solar cycle in approx. 11 years. Currently we are at solar minimum, which explains the record cold snaps and snowfall. This cycle that is just beginning is predicted to be a very inactive cycle which leads to cooler temps and more cloud cover. It is predicted, according to the solar cycles, that this century will be cool, beginning with the next solar cycle beginning sometime in the early 2020s.
