The signing of an agreement for the establishment of a free trade zone between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states and the European Union (EU) is considered a great advantage for the EU due to the economic, political and military strength of the GCC, an economic report said.

A report issued by the Gulf Center for Strategic and International Studies indicated Thursday that the GCC is a strong and independent pillar in the delicate and strategically vital security system for the GCC.
