Hi
I wounder if you can help me - we are a little confused - I understand that the Dinar is at aprox 1460 = $1.00 however I am woundering if there is another way of displaying the amount where as it is shown as 1.46 dinars = $1.00 ( Could this be a banking adaption )
I have checked all of the Iraqi Banks Websites and can find no reference to this
Does anyone have a clue about this ?
Any help would be appreciated

Hey there Beakydrew!!
I think the figure you are looking for is $1 USD = .0006849 NID. That is the figure you get when you divide the 1460 NID into $1 USD.

Another thing to consider could be that some countries use our . (period) where we typically use a , (comma) in numbers. So 1,460 could be 1.460 in other countries. Or, 1.46 (since it is assumed that we all know that the 1=1000, 4=400, 6=60)

I'd love for "that" to actually be:
$1 = 0.0006849 dinars. Then each of my dinars would be equal to $1,460. Virtually all of us would be billionaires. Look out, Bill Gates! I think Jared would become the richest man in the world at 88 million dinars. He'd be worth over $128 billion, or about three times Bill Gates' net worth. :)
EDIT: Strike that. I meant the richest on this forum. I remember reading about people with over 100 million dinar.
