OK, so I'm laying in bed this morning, thinking about all I need to do, thinking about this forum and how crazy it is, thinking about should I shave my legs today or not (just kidding) .... OK, seriously. Here's what's been going through my mind this past week.

Lots of new members joining. Lots of information to sift through. Even I had trouble looking for some stuff yesterday using the search engine. Lots of BS to overlook in threads just to find pertinant information ... yadda, yadda, yadda ...

Is it too late to start threads that will pertain to particular members .... ie: "those with cash in hand only", "those with Warka accounts", etc. Maybe have a crash course of what to do, where to go, etc.? It could have information posted or just a link to send someone in the right direction.

My reasoning: I'm just thinking it's going to become very crazy with people trying to remember what's been said, where it's posted, new members in a panic not knowing what to do and asking the same questions that's been asked many times ... on and on.

This would be a total group effort. If threads were started with appropriate titles, then as members stumble upon new infomation or anything from the past, it can be plugged in. It would take some time and work ... but it's just an idea that I thought I'd put 'out there'.

It's pretty much what we are doing now, but just compiling information and directing it toward a particular group.

I'm prolly not presenting this right .... oh well.

I think I will shave my legs.

1. You're a stalker.
2. I am brilliant, I know.
3. You finally reached 1600! Can ya slow down now?

:D :D :D :D

Thanks. I've mulled this over for several days. Hope it pans out. I think it would help with the stress level, among other things.

sounds like a plan to me :) I am still looking for banks in my area, and i know of a few who also live in mi who aren't sure where to go, i'd like to make a list of ones who do and will exchange maybe by region or state :rolleye03

Maybe. Maybe not. :D Thought it might be a good idea to think/plan ahead before the chaos really kicks in ... this week, next month, next year.

That's a good idea too Deja. Put down Compass Bank for the Southern region.

Wait a second! Start new thread ... then put that down.

Let's think now, is this how it should be divided to hit 'target' groups? Regions? I was thinking along the lines of who has cash in hand, who has accounts, but I'm now thinking Regions might be a good idea. :rolleye03

What do you think?

I like all of your ideas RET, common sense as ussual. Personally I think we should have a religious thread because some of the bible thumpers get going on other threads and throws off the track of information that the thread was intended for. Seems the T&B crew has arrived on this forum. If that is there thing it is fine, I would just like to keep threads on track. I think more accurate titles would also help on many threads.

PS- Probably a good choice on the leg hair thing. :D

i have only cash on hand, so others in the same boat can benefit too if they know where to go, LOL, i imagine there will be a panic after the intitial shock of it pegging, at least for me, haha......so i figured if we knew of a certain specific location we won't be blindly searching for a bank. Unfortunately i am a biiiig procrastinator, this time i want to be prepared with running shoes, keys in hand a mapquest to the bank! :)

Hi Dejavu !!! :huge:

Tomorrow, I am going to open an account in B of A here in Ca. Seems to me I would get better service if I were a member. :D

just been watching for a long time before I joined but heres my 2 cents for what it is worth  Wells fargo will change after it goes on market and will not charge if you are a member for more than 6 months.
while doing a breakdown maybe it will be good to add if the bank will check autheticity of cash there or send it out as some people may not want to do it that way and would prefer to go to the bank that will check in your line of sight just an idea
