Some one tryed to enter my Paypal account 5 times on July 25th.
Everyone take care to watch out for your accounts.
This is the info I got from Paypal on the matter. These are the IP address that tryed to enter my accounts on the 25th of July, they were not able to get in! But sure was trying hard.
IP Address.............Time.......................... .Country
80.53.1.130.....July 25, @ 15:05:08PDT......Poland
80.53.255.174..July 25, @ 15:07:58PDT......Poland
141.85.99.169..July 25, @ 15:13:09PDT......Poland
141.65.99.169..July 25, @ 21:28:08PDT......Poland
195.61.146.130.July 25 @ 21:33:43PDT......Poland
This just shows how correct Danpeg is on people taking care of your personal info, the bad guys want our money. If the Dinar Pegged and I had a lot of money in the Paypal account it could have been a real problem.
Thanks to Paypal they were not able to get in, and I thank Paypal for letting me know they tried!

I suggest everyone change their IIF password every few weeks. Never have? Do it tonight! (http://www.investorsiraq.com/profile.php?do=editpassword)
And never use the same password for all your accounts (paypal, ebay.. and so on) because if some website gets hacked, your entire web presence is at risk.

I try to keep a Zero balance in my Paypal account and I have a seperate checking account attached to my Paypal that I only deposite cash into after I make a Paypal transaction. That way, if someone does hack into my Paypal, they won't get much. I keep most of my cash in a separate Bank. That way they can't get into my main checking account.

Since when does Paypal notify you that someone was trying to access your account.
I can go to my account from 50 different IP's and try failed logins 50 different times and they won't send an email.
This sounds more like a phishing email that wanted you to follow a link so they could steal your info.
Paypal would never present themselves as an insecure service.

Paypal did start something that allows access only through initially setup IP addresses. Maybe now they are notifying users of unauthorized access.
I'll let you know When they actually let me access my account again

Got it.
Guess this is like the system that e-Gold uses. If you login from a different IP then the one you logged in from last then you have to get an Accent Pin.

You can forward that e-mail to spoof@paypal.com and they will tell you if Paypal sent it to you or if it is a phishing e-mail. I have sent 3 or 4 to them and they all turned out to be bogus .
Got one 'o those emails just yesterday. Claimed to be from PayPal itself and was notifing me that they were adding a new email address to my account.
The message instructed me to click on inbeded links to verify the new address. NO WAY!
If you receive an email such as this DO NOT CLICK ANY INBEDED LINK. Forward it to PayPay. Email is setup to make you think that by clicking an inbeded you are checking the authenticity or verifing with Paypal when actually you are not!

phishing e-mail = Thats what Paypal just sent to me, they said the Email I had received was not from them, and then went through a whole spill about phishing email and links.
I never open links on anything in an email, I always close the email and go to the site to check it out. The bad guys are trying to get to us and we must be vigilant at all times.

Well you know this just goes with the e-mail I got from a lawyer in Africa that said my great uncle Zeemula Tooto had died and left me all of his Millions of Dollars, I just send a bank account number he would forward my money after I send him his legal fees of $10,000.00 for handling the affairs of my late Uncle.
H3ll I didn't even know I had relatives in Africa?
Also that African oil minister that had all them hidden Millions and offered me 30% of it if I would help him buy property in the USA since he was hiding the money from a failed African government, and for my bank account number I could handle the whole thing! WAS I LUCKY OR WHAT?
If it smells bad it most likely is bad!

No no! That one is real as are all the ones from Lagos Nigeria.
This is how I amassed my fortune. That and listening to the rumors section.
Of course the Lagos comment was BS.

Many of these points are good ones- everyone at this point should take the Proper precautions to protect themselves and their personal bank accounts and personal information as well.
Criminals are out there- and for all we know- they could even be lurking amongst us-knowing they we could all be very wealthy very soon. I would suggest that those who are planning to have large sums of money posted in bank accounts with electronic access, that they take the extra step to add a personal password in order to limit access your funds. Perhaps some of our members who claim to be in law enforcement can offer some advice on this matter as well?
Be safe out there everyone :)
