Beforehand the construction of this power plant, the electricity situation in the area was very bad: in summer Erbil and the surroundings received between 4-6 hours per day, while in the winter electricity did not extend beyond 1-2 hours per day. "The plant was wholly financed by private Iraqi investors. Huh? This is the first I had read this article. If its been posted by someone else my apologies. I try to read through all the threads before I start a new one to avoid reposts, but sometimes one will slip by me. Us "diggers" have a tendency to step on each others toes at times..but that is to be expected with so much being posted each day. Again my apologies if that is the case.

Very encouraging to see improvements in the services sector that will directly help the Iraqi people. Something that they can see will benefit there daily lives. Now that security is somewhat stable we should see increasing developments in the services, economy, and legislative fronts of Iraq.

Thats PukMedia for ya! I read the articles on the sites themselves then copy them and never will never read it twice. If you go to the link you will see that the double talk isn't there. It slips my mind sometimes that they do that, this was one of those times. Sorry, I'll try to keep it in the forefront of my OLD mind in the future when taking articles from there.
