Kurds moving ahead to create oil and gas facts

This is big news .. the Kurds are moving ahead and independently to create new oil and gas facts on the ground which will strengthen their bargaining position in the negotiations with the central government on so far stalled oil laws. While the Kurds know they will not be be able to to export extracted oil and gas without the permission of the central government and neighboring countries, no body can stop them utilizing it to generate electricity and raw materials for local petrochemical industry. Most non Kurdish Iraqis see the present policies of KRG as being short sighted and will backfire the ultimate interest of the Kurds which lie with the rest of Iraq.
