President of Kurdistan region, Massoud Barzani and Vice President Kosrat Rasul Ali, met today with the families of the victims martyred during the terrorist explosion struck the demonstration in Kirkuk on July 28.
After expressing their condolences to the families, Massoud Barzani and Kosrat Rasul said that the blood of those martyrs is not shed in vain.
“We seek all the constitutional and legal ways to bring Kirkuk back to the Kurdistan region. I ensure you that you will not be left behind,” Massoud Barzani said.
Both officials reaffirmed that Kurds do not accept compromise over the issue of Kirkuk. Later the families called for making a statue as a symbol for those martyrs in front of the Kirkuk Governorate.
