I agree with this old post will open low say $0.05 or $0.08 but not until 2006. That's this dumb old hillbilly's take on it. What do the rest think?

Exactly when it will be "pegged" is a key question. You'd think that if Warka is opening internet banking and ATMs on Sept 1, there would have to be some sort of introduction of the Dinar to the world currency market by mid-August. I do think it can be introduced with the "insurgency" still active, but not at the levels it is currently active at. We're getting upwards of 60 to 70 attacks a day. That level will not allow the world to accept the Dinar as a legitimate and stable currency. You have to see CLEAR evidence that the insurgency will fail. Keep in mind the rest of this world was not exactly behind the USA in the first place and some would love to see us fail. Thus, if you choose to predict a timeline of when the Dinar gets introduced one of the first milestones would be this evil "insurgency" and it's ultimate demise. I'm convinced the "insurgents" cannot win. But how long they can impact and hold out is another issue altogether. More data is needed.

I'm with the dumb hillbilly.....been postin' that opinion for awhile now. However, I used to think it would be low opening.....not anymore. If it floats......low opening......if it pegs, which I think it will, it's gonna be higher folks. GCC is on the horizon and it doesn't seem to make any sense to float it at this point. All the other countries peg to the dollar. Iraq wants to be a member.......simple deductive reasoning people. JMHO :shhh: :D
But we shall see won't we ;)

I agree with you Moneybaggs. It has been remarkable how the insurgency has stayed at it. It does show how determined they are. I would hope we can find the "straw" that will finally break it's back. Iraq could take off economically like nothing anyone has ever seen. I think the insurgentcy knows this, and they don't want the New Iraq to get even the slightest taste of how it could be. I'm still surprised that with all of our technology, agencies, and allies we can't find the source or sources behind the insurgentcy and cut it off, or flip them to come on board. It all comes down to security, no question.
