I sent a purchase request for 5 bank stocks. These stocks have been hard to purchase in the past, but as I'm trying to collect them all I decide to request them together.
Mr. I as usual sent an email saying warka would purchase the stocks at the next trading session, tuesday. However no money has been taken from my account, and I have not recieved my spreadsheet. Shall I assume they were unable to fullfill the purchase? Will they send me an email notifying me to resend, or will they just leave me in the dark? I've never had a request fail so this is new to me.
Thanks

Don't give it another week. Get on to Mr I - the ISX department are going through something of an abberation at the moment. The purchasing of shares right now is at best very poor. I was lucky Mr I resolved an issue for me recently - which I won't go into - for shares. However, if he had not stepped in I think they would never have been purchased.

it seems they are running WAY...behind.....I had a purchase order that went thru that I had long since forgotten about...
keep checking...
make sure your stock picks did not go to the "companies not trading list"
and keep checking your bank account.....

I sent in two separate orders, 08/09 & 8/13, received quick confirmation that they would be executed on two different trading days. Received confirmation of executed trades on 08/30, but what was different this time was the two orders were combined on one spreadsheet, rather than two separate sheets as they have done in the past.

I will submit a new request for union...
Did you get a confirmation from the ISX dept, saying your request will be executed at the next trading session?

Did you get a confirmation from the ISX dept, saying your request will be executed at the next trading session? Union hasn't traded in a long time, very small bank, there could be a merger, I'm not sure. I hold a good size position.CROW

I have a bunch of Union/Ethasd shares I will soon be dumping.
Honestly, your money would be better spent on another bank instead of Union.

Well, I have all banks except Union, am I bothered? Not really, but I might as well complete the set. Who knows whats around the corner... Don't suppose I will invest too much in Union. Most of my money is in Baghdad and Warka. Still haven't got my baghdad free shares?

I placed my order on 8/18/08.Was sent email would be placed,8/26. Got another email on 8/27 saying it would be placed on 8/26(yes,the day before)then nothing.I canceled order today,Sept. 2. This is absolutely the worst I have seen Warka perform!!!!!!However,I am NOT giving up on them.I just had a change in my thinking on the stocks, and was glad they didn't go through.Still believe we are in on the ground floor, reguardless of a reval or not.(Surely would like to have that also).

PLUS,I'm an old man and I don't have the time that most of you youngsters have. So,I'm putting in a call to Shalibi (or what ever his name is)and see if I can't "stir the pot".Also might call Al-Bunia (he seems to be VERY wealthy)and see if he can do something.Might even call George (if I can catch him before he goes to Baghdad).I might even call my 2 senators (I sent both of them a $100 during their last campaign-reckon that's enough to have some influence?)Tried calling Gov. Riley, but he's too busy working on Gustav(what a hell of a name for a hurricane-do ya'll know anybody with that name-sounds Russian to me-maybe KGB.
