Iraq to Import 600 Generators
Iran Transfor Group has entered into an agreement with Diyala Electric Industries Company to provide 600 generators to Iraq.

True, and it beats being in the dark until the whole grid is up and dependable. They should have no shortage of generator fuel in Iraq.

There are many many thousands of generators here in IRAQ. I know for a FACT that KBR is refueling over a thousand just here at this site I am on. :)

Why can't we find someone to send money to and "donate" generators to the Iraqi citizens?

Is there a timeline posted anywhere that shows when they expect the entire country to have electricity and running water 24/7?

What size the generators are. Could they be big enough for a refrigerator or a house or a small neighborhood? If the donated ones are the briefcase sized ones, you could use one per appliance.
We used a few 100kW gens for work and each of those would probably minimally power a dozen or so homes here in an emergency.
Still, they're better than nothing.
