Dear Warka Investors,
We would like to bring to your kind attention that we will begin the process of transferring stock ownership from proxy to the names of the clients whom have submitted their ISX notarized documentation which has been verified and approved by the ISX.
This is a lengthy process and the certificates will be provided as they are received from each related company.
Your patience is most appreciated assisting us in serving you the best.
Best regards,

Something is getting close, be it RV, lop or ISX going electronic. Maybe Warka wants to sort out the Proxy before the accounting starts getting difficault.

It's still only an option though right? Warka will still hold shares in proxy for those who haven't done this, right?

Lets hope so, it would suck for Warka to dissolve the Proxy and have to sell all the stock and credit the Warka accounts at the present rates.
By the time people were able to apply get a passport, mail paperwork to the ICC and have them process and mail it back, then send documents to Warka with the the usual speedy service there. Then start placing orders to once again accumulate some stock.......what will the prices be like at that point?
I’m not saying that Warka will not have the proxy anymore, just start your paperwork now! If you plan to be long-term in the ISX.

We all new something was in the works
1) I wonder how this will effect share prices in the next few weeks ( I know it sounds like a wash (but ya never know, we have to watch the volume traded)
2) I also wonder if the amended Investment law was finalized

I know there were recent discussions regarding this. I posted an article about it somewhere on the forum a week or two ago.

I wonder if the certificates will be mailed to each holder, or will Warka still hold them at there location ???
Seems like there are some questions to be asked of Mr. I.
Anyone up to the task ?
I too am curious about all this. If Warka has been buying for us in our name. What is the difference in that and using a broker in our stock market here in the US. We don't actually hold the certificates, they do. Is it to our advantage to follow through with this process with Warka. Could someone who maybe is a little more knowledgeable on this shed some light on it for me.

You might want to contact Warka and ask.

I have both some in proxy and ownership. They hold them there. Warka will need to have them if you ever want to sell any. They will send you a jpg of your stocks with your name on them. I have not got a jpg of any of my stocks that are still in proxy. But as soon as they turn them over into my good name I should get a jpg of all 21 stocks they hold in proxy for me at that time.

This is great news guys! We are moving closer to the HUGH payoff from the ISX.
On another note, I'm still curious why some people get periodic emails from Warka regarding stock splits ect and others (like myself) don't?

Well I guess there's a lot of members here who haven't gone through this process so I suppose its best for us all to sell all our shares before we are forced to? What would that do to the prices I wonder?

The decision to sell them and buy them back under your own name would be a lot easier if it was done electronically, instead of waiting a week to 14 days for your "good name" certificates. Who knows what will happen in the meantime ?

We will be used as pawns in the ISX game to actually show the overwhelming increase of Foreign Investor participation in the next ISX Stat Bulletin

Of course, anyone wishing to have the actual certificates in their possession can do so by requesting this through Mr I / Warka.
But all along Mr I has been advising against this and recommending that all physical certificates be kept secure in their vault.
The change from proxy to our names is big news. It has been a long time coming, and I for one will feel much better when the switch is made.

I heard a day or two ago that he was in Beirut. He may be back by now. My certificates have always been emailed to me within 30 days of purchase since the August 2007 inception. FYI.:cool-too:

Don't sell your shares, do your paperwork. If you were to sell them you couldn't buy them back with out the proper paperwork. Just get started now, so when they transfer the shares you will be ready. Besides if you sold now, how long and how many sessions would it take to get them back and at what price?

I didn't do the notorised document thing as I felt ok keeping my shares in proxy, Mr I said not to worry so I didn't. He hasn't asked me to change anything yet.

I dont think people are getting unsolicited emails. The stock info is coming from statements on Warka's website.
Although I don't know why Warka can't compile an email list of all customers and send broadcast emails for any updates and news.
This is an exciting time. I believe the ISX folks will do very well in the near future.
On another note, Warka needs to have each of their customers portfolio's online. When we see this, ...........LOOK OUT
thanks for the 411

Great news guys..
Personally this is truly vindicating for me, after all the adverse posts early on directed towards Warka stock holders- and this process.
What most of you aren't aware of is the discussion years ago whether to share the stock opportunity with the forum or how it all started.
The main concern (there were others)was that Warka would get too backlogged and communications would suffer. I think we can all agree that is relatively true.
My view was that the forum about working together and sharing, plus it would be only a matter of time before it would be on the forum anyway -therefore a backlog was inevitable.
So here's to all of you who had faith in the early pioneers  as these transfers ease doubts of investors and silence the critics
