Don't want to be negative BD but thier GDP has been severaly slashed by falling demand and prices of oil. They have been forced to reconsider and greatly reduce their 2009 budget. They need money to have continued growth and stability. The are trying to raise capital for investment projects to offset the budget reduction.

They may have to make some concessions they would have refused a short time ago. Oil companies are in no hurry to drill if the demand is stable or falling. Money talks and right now they are losing money.

What does good mean? I know that the sofa, HCL, and Art VII need to be taken care of, but the only good to me is an end to this ride. Is that what you're seeing? Just your opinion of course.

Default I have a really good gut feeling that this is close to the election and they all need some positive news

You are right about the budget and falling oil prices. I cant see much other than oil and gas that can pull them out of the mire they are in in such a short timeframe.
I do also think McCain needs some good news from Iraq. This meeting is Saturday the election is Tuesday.
I cant help but feel that its an odd day and an odd time to be pulling in all these big wigs just to discuss foreign investment. Am I alone SE in thinking this? Surely not?
