As always, this is a great idea. If anyone has helpful links or information, post them here!

If you're mailing items on your own, be sure to ask the postmaster for a list of what can be sent to particular locations. It varies for different countries.

  3. Thumbs up Excellent suggestion.

    I shall do it.

    Links, anyone?

I want you all to think about this....

There are soldiers here that believe it or not, don't have families. There are soldiers here that wants to feel that someone cares about them. They are as human as you and me. Holidays are getting closer, can any one have a thought about these young american kids, fighting for our freedom, and not one person would care to at least send them a letter appreciating what they have done?? but happens, and I see that, and I see their faces when someone gets a mail, and they don't, because they don't have anybody who can write them.

I have receive letters from kids, I do not know them, nor I have never seen their pictures, I do not know who's their parents are...but when I get these letters, I get emotional because a six or seven year old child knows that an unknown person is in a far land, ensuring their freedom. I even have a wall in our office with all these letters, to remind me for whom I am fighting for.

    Please let not forget them....

Here are a few links that have already prepared care packages or you can just make a cash donation. The first link is a list of some of what can and cannot be sent in case your sending a package yourself. It also has some additional links on it for care packages for the troops.
