RB,
Apologies for taking a while getting back ref: changing warka pin
With regard to your question, my friend used the card in an Abbey Nat/Santander on her local high st. She has informed me that she was unable to change her PIN. She will try again in another ATM. Has any others had success changing their pin?

Can anyone guide me on how to wire USD from Warka bank back to my U.S. account? Thanks and does anyone have Mr. I's new email address?
I wonder if there is a way we can link this up to our PayPal account ?
firstly, you need to fund your warka usd acct. if you are holding your funds in dinar, then do an online e-banking transfer or send an authorization for the transfer from iqd to your usd acct.
then:
you email an authorization letter, signed, dated, with a picture id. your authorization letter must have your acct # (both warka and us bank), banks name and address, acct name and banks swift code. you email it to cust service at warka. there is a $50 processing fee from warka-it will take up to 3 days for them to open your email-2 days to process and 4 days to hit your acct here in the us.
the debit card is faster and cheaper.
I just checked my dinar account and saw that there was a 72,000 cash withdrawal yesterday. I hope it was for the DHL fees for my card, but equals $61.53 US, a little more than I thought it would be. Not complaining but wanted to see if that is about what everyone else paid, but I suppose it's different for each location. I would rather they say what the withdrawal is for - it could be anything.

Funds still cannot be transfered via the card to Warka Bank, I've contacted the branch directly that is partnered with Warka and they say funds cannot be deposited only withdrawn directly from the card. They (Citibank) and Warka confirms that wiring money is the only way to make deposits wether it's with their partnered bank or other.
[B]Anybody on the forum still receiving there cards?![]()
You can check your balance on line as often as you please. Just as in the US you can check your balance every time you use the card. I have used a debit card 20 years and never had a problem. Debit cards were intoduced in Europe in the early eighties. They are safer than credit cards as they require a pin number. However I do have the bank issue me a new one every year. Unless you request a larger amount most US banks limit debit cards to a $250 limit a day. If you check your account once aday the most you can lose is $250 and the bank will remburse you for the $250.
15 days on, money been taken, reckon card will take another week or 2.

My wife's debit card, (no not Warka, Wells Fargo), was taken for over 9000 dollars through a "scanner-scam" over the course of a month, 250-300 (I believe that was her daily limit at the time) right under her nose. (After a trip to Mexico, the money was being drawn daily from ATMs all around Guadalajara). She didnt realize the situation until she tried to use it at a restaurant and was declined. We both learned lessons after that experience, like check your balance more often, and change your PIN after a trip out of the country.
The good news is since we have something called insurance in this country, she was eventually reimbursed. Does Warka have FDIC yet?![]()
