    26/08/2011 17:51:00 Najaf (NINA) – Leader of the Sadrist Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, called on the Iraqis to take to the streets in millions throughout Iraq to demand services’ improvement after ending the six-month ultimatum given to the government in the referendum the Trend organized six months ago.

    In a speech, on Behalf of Sadr, by Speaker of Kufa Mosque on Friday, Abdul Haid Mohamadawi, said that the demonstrations and sit-ins will be launched immediately after the holly Eid.

    Sadr also demanded, “Ending the bombing of Iraqi territories in Kurdistan Iraq, by neighboring countries, and to solve the problems between Iraq and Kuwait through peaceful means.

    Hmm... this could be interesting....Would a threat of this proportion possibly be enough to motivate /expedite the work of government ???Very good possibility.

    I can hear the chant now....we want water, we want food, we want homes, we want jobs! Too bad the government doesn't listen. Heck the CBI is trying to make stuff happen, but the crooks in office just don't listen...If the people revolt we might not have the government's backs on this one jmo

    Sounds like the chants that very well could go on here in the USA.. What a wastoid!! Pull our troops out, cut our losses and let these radicals kill each other off like they have been doing for the last hundred years or more. You can't take the spots off a leopard. It's a futile effort there but, we keep throwing good money after bad and we are too stupid to realize that. The cure is worse than the disease in this case.

    I totally agree on this. I would like to see Iraq and all it's riches come to fruitation, but it's getting to the point where something needs to give. Sadr has enough flap that it may just get the ball rolling. I feel in my gut that the moment of truth will be coming soon. They're either going to make it or break it...The people are disgusted. The same goes for us here in the US.
