Oil announces plan to increase the production of the northern fields to one million barrels per day

The Oil Ministry announced on Monday a plan to increase oil production in the northern fields around one million barrels per day over the next few years, pointing out that the North Oil Company is negotiating with foreign companies to develop the Kirkuk field to add 300 thousand barrels.
The deputy director of the North Oil Company Hussain Ghulam in an interview for "Alsumaria News", that his company "plans to develop and increase the production of oil from northern fields to nearly one million barrels per day during the three or four years to come," he said, adding that "the current production from these fields is about 600 thousand barrels a day."
He pointed to the boy that "the company is negotiating with some foreign companies such as BP to develop the Kirkuk oil field to add 300 thousand barrels, as well as the current production of 280 thousand barrels a day."
He added that the boy "NOC will also develop the Hamrin field in association with oil projects that will create a project surface, to reach production to 60 thousand barrels per day from this field."
It is estimated that oil reserves located in Kirkuk, about 13 billion barrels, that is, it constitutes about 12% of the total reserves of Iraqi oil.
