14/04/2012 13:44:00 Baghdad/ NINA /--Parliament Rapporteur Mohammed al-Khalidi described the arrest the High Independent Electoral Commission chairman Faraj al-Haydari and member of the Commissioners Board, Karim al-Tamimi as "a disadvantage in the march of the democratic process.

He said in a statement to NINA: "The country witnessing a very critical and dangerous events that require dealing with wisdom, hence targeting of al-Haidari and al-Tamimi in such a policier way and this time represent a grave flaw in the democratic process.

Al-Khalidi went on : "Parliament previously questioned Haidari, and al- Tamimi and there was a majority vote in their favore, so arresting the two officils aims only to determine the IHEC and to distort its reputation, he said ."
