Agriculture: corrupted large quantities of dates due to a decline in the size of marketing

Agricultural Ministry confirmed that limited the role of the private sector in marketing dates in Iraq caused the destruction of large quantities of it annually.

And Technical Secretary Ministry Mahdi integrated (Centre for the predicate to the Iraqi media network) that «private sector is responsible for the marketing of dates alongside Iraqi company for manufacturing and marketing dates and mixed sector but turn vulnerable to absorb quantities dates».

The Undersecretary said that «the Ministry of agriculture is mandated with receipt dates from orchards owners directly within the initiative of the Government of Iraq for the purpose of purchasing dates at competitive prices to encourage farmers to attention with their gardens but unfortunately not process correctly invest».
