IS MP critisizes some IS MPs' refusal to topple Maliki,
Friday, 15 June 2012 15:20 | | | Baghdad (AIN) -The MP of the Iraqiya Slate, Hassan al-Jubouri, attributed the refusal of some dissident MPs from the IS, to withdraw confidence from the Premier al-Maliki, to Maliki's promises to reward them.
Jubouri added "The withdrawal of some MPs from the IS during the last months and years were not splits in thier senses, but rather a secessions to stand with the political opponent, ie, Maliki due to enticing attempts to bring them to his side."
He added "It is known that the dissidents from specific political blocs for personal reasons, often join or organize Party or political bloc that is close to their political approaches and programmes, but what happened from those who split from the IS is that they stood with its opponent
It is mentioned that the PM Maliki has received on Current June, 7 members of the Gathering of Loyalty to Iraq, which includes a number of MPs of the IS and the White Bloc who have seceded from the IS earlier, and declared their rejection to withdraw confidence from the PM according to a statement by the Council of Ministers, where Maliki praised this new gathering, expressing his hope to see this new gathering plays an influential role in the Parliament.
It is worth to be mentioned that the call to withdraw confidence from the Premier failed after the President Talabani announced that the number of the signatures reached (160) only, stressing this is less than the required number of (163), urging to hold the national meeting to solve the political crisis.
