Kurdistan Regional Government decides to open region treasury

ERBIL, July 4 (AKnews) – The Kurdistan Region's Ministry of Finance and Economy has decided to scrap the shared treasury and open a new treasury under the name region treasury.
Last month both Ministries of Finance in Suli and Erbil unified and this latest decision came as part of the work of the new unified ministry, according to a statement from the Finance Ministry.
The three presidencies, the region, parliament and government, ministries' offices and all of the directorates not related with the ministries will be independent in accounting terms and related to the region treasury financially, according to the statement.
