Ok, there's always tomorrow. Weather permitting, I'm going to the beach to drown my sorrows in the Caribbean Sea.

    My vacation ends on Friday.

I'd appreciate a reval by then. Is that really asking too much?

Just for sake of discussion, let's say I borrow 200 million Dinar from this State-run Iraqi bank to build my new home this week. Then the GOI decides to REVAL the Dinar 1 to 1 against the U.S. Dollar and .... Do I still owe 200 Million Dinar to the State-run bank of Iraq? "....." These loans have to be adjusted. My principal owed has to be reduced to reflect the REVAL. Iraq's M2 is then automatically reduced by 229,770,000 Dinar, ..."

Cricket World Cup starts 6 March in the Caribbean, had hoped months ago a reval would have happened by now so we'd get out there for it. There's still time. It runs until mid April, so see you out there!

I just wanna know why they hold up for the few days that there were... I mean it was moving consistently there every trading day for quite a while and then suddenly had days with no change.. Why didn't they just keep those days going if they are just moving again with these small changes?

They're on target to reach 1260 by 22/3. This was the agreement, how they get there who only knows. But rest assured, it will drop another 23 points in say however auctions are left between now and then, sounds like 1 point a day more or less....

No reval until after this date when the HCL will be done too, (and IC).
    .;)

Yeah that would be very nice if that was there plan.. to get to the 1260 like they said and then reval.. with eveything else happening right now that seems almost logical. :)

All part of the master plan. The HCL allows their people to have a share of the profits, that's what they have stated all along. 'Our people will get a piece of the countries wealth'. And so they should. The HCL is the icing on the cake, kinda like you or I going for a big loan and using say a flash car as collateral on the loan. The HCL will give the GOI the confidence as they know it'll provide billions of income from all the foreign companies wanting 'in' asap. At the same time, security is improving, more dinars are being pulled out and handouts have started.

The FIL will also be implemented in April and the ISX electric in June. We know Shabibi has stated Iraq would not sell stocks/shares for worthless values.......

As to the current rate, it is the artificial programme rate set by the IMF 15 months ago which hopefully will not be renewed come 22/3. So no movement until after then folks. Not long after though. Come the Oil Summit 17th April we'll all be partying.

I'm not a big Cricket fan, but I'll still be here.

My beach plans are dashed. There are 8 to 10 foot waves all around the island. We're experiencing tropical wave type squalls here, now. This bad weather system is supposed to hang around until, yes, you guessed it, Friday!

I'm doomed. Temperatures will be a chilly 88 degrees today. Brrrr! Too cold to go out. :D

Come down for the tournament. Hang out for 6 months. Suffer through the 88 degree days and 75 degree nights. Get your local residency. Cash in some Dinar. Buy a property on the beach within 6 months and pay no tax on the money you used to buy the property and only 12.5% on the rest.

    How's that sound, Adster?

I'm with you Adster. To see my boys (Black Caps) demolish Australia today making it a whitewash (3-0) of the Chappel-Hadlee cup one-dayers has boosted my spirits after their disappointing loss to you poms at the tri-nations. Yep, I'm definitely going ....would have a better time though if it RVed in time.

As long as it Rvs before the Rugby World Cup in September, I'll be happy.

Watched it this morning here on tv. Great to see! Without upsetting any Aussies here, that's 6 in a row they've lost. Us Brits and Kiwis have to make the most of it while we can!!

See you in France in September.
