Question Has anyone written their Congressman about a Tax Break?

Since we have all speculated on the Iraqi Dinar, is it possible that Congress could pass a bill to exempt us from paying CGT (USA)? Meaning, since we supported the economic recovery of Iraq by investing in their country from the get go, could we get a TAX Break?

    Is this possible?

No, and I am going to suggest that you don't. You are more likely to see them pass a tax increase and be labeled a war profiteer than a patriot. They will look to line their pockets with capital that you and I risked. Shhh!
This time, it's the deep end of the pool.

They already gave us a tax break. The capital gains tax was reduced from 35% to 15% if you own the property for more than 1 year. Anything would be a dream at best.

Agreed. Besides, like has been stated before, we don't know yet what this will bring. If this were a sure thing, we would have been squeezed out by now. I choose quiet optimism.
I love rumor and RV prediction dates. I especially like the whooshing sound they make as they go flying by.
