Okay. I just called the ANZ here in Melbourne and asked the same question re IQD. He pretty much gave me the brush off and was not prepared to give any information out. I asked him why the ANZ would participate in IQD cbi auctions (late last year. I remember them as one of the participating banks) if they weren't going to do anything with it or what their plans were etc, and he said they may have participated but at the moment cannot give any further info.

You are correct that perhaps they are not warned of the RV because that it is solely an internal matter for Iraq but Banks are CERTAINLY warned of new Exotic currencies coming onto the FOREX Market...

If it is pending it means they are getting ready for it's release on the FOREX.

How did you know that they were a participating bank?

When I first joined IIF August last year, I remembered someone posting the results of one of the CBI auctions and mentioning ANZ as one of the banks. I'll try and find the thread.

Also, if you do a search on IIF under ANZ, it will list all the threads discussing it.

Three banks and three blank stares afterwards....

No joy, yet the ANZ teller was very hesitant, taking a good couple of minutes to check screens... optimistically hoping along the lines of... "Don't tell customers this, but..." :)

It was a girl and they were selling blue-iced cupcakes at the local ANZ today ! I was at the kebab place last night but forgot to ask them if they knew inside RV info :)
