Iraqi legislators got an unexpected day off on Monday, after a power outage occurred in the Conferences Palace inside the Green Zone, where the Parliament building is located, a source from the Iraqi parliament said.
"The power outage led to adjourn today's session until Tuesday after parliamentarians left the House hall," the source, who asked not be named, told the independent news agency Voices of Iraq (VOI).
The parliament was expected to convene today after a week of recess to give time for blocs boycotted the sessions to reconsider their decision.
