Here is a simple tutorial on various forum "How To's"


How To Post A New Thread:

Before you post a thread, be sure you have read ALL Forum Rules

1. Go the the forum which best matches the topic you wish to post: Forum View (forum links are on the left)
2. Click the button at the top of the forum on the left.
3. Enter a subject that best describes your topic
4. Enter your message
5. Click the Submit New Thread button below the message box

Lofson suggests: "Before you post an article, do a quick search using the "Search" function on the top of the page. Just type in the most significant word in the article title. This will prevent you from posting an article that has been posted several times before".

Help keep IIF a pleasant community for all. Here is how to privately report rules violations.

How To Report A Post

1. Click the at the top right corner of the post you wish to report.
2. Enter information you wish to include about the post.
3. Click Sent Report
4. This will send a report to all administrators. The member being reported will not receive this message.
5. Administrators will then address the problem as necessary

If you want to limit the viewing of certain forums, there are ways to do this:

1. New Posts Opt Out - you can determine what forums you want to see when you click New Posts - here's how:

1. Go to you USER CP / Edit Options
2. Scroll to the bottom of the page
3. Go to the option called Exclude Forums from "Get New Posts"
4. When selecting the forum you do not want to see, you can hold the CTRL button on your keyboard to select multiple forums.

2. Portal Views - We have various options in the Portal section (on the menu at the top of the page) so you can see the latest posts in only the areas you would like to view. You can also bookmark (favorite) that section in your browser (or make it a shortcut on your desktop) so it becomes your homepage for IIF. The New Posts Opt Out does not function here.

1. Latest Posts - The last 100 threads on the ENTIRE forum that have been posted on - this includes all Iraq and Non-Iraqi topics
   
2. Latest 25 Posts - The last 25 threads recently posted on - two sections: Iraqi Topics and Non-Iraq Topics
3. Latest Iraq Posts - The last 100 Iraq threads that have been posted on
   
4. Latest Iraq News Posts - The last 100 Iraq News threads that have been posted on
5. Latest Iraq Dinar Posts - The last 100 Iraq Dinar threads that have been posted on
6. Latest ISX/Banks Posts - The last 100 ISX/Banks threads that have been posted on
   
7. Latest Non-Iraqi Posts - The last 100 Non-Iraqi threads that have been posted on
8. Coming Soon: Latest Iraq Investment Debate Posts - The last 100 Debate threads that have been posted on - visible only to those who have OPTED-IN to this forum
