    thanks, my friend.
Habakkuk 2:2-3 Then the LORD answered me and said: “ Write the vision And make it plain on tablets,
That he may run who reads it. 3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.

we'll see...alliances in this country are changed like they change underwear...he really does not hold any position of strength, and at this point, the backing of the US seems is slowly becoming more and more lip service than real support...I wouldn't be surprised if the US is smiling towards Maliki and pushing their own agenda behind the scenes...

then again, maybe they don't change underwear that often...

Sounds like Maliki's trying to gather the votes to head off a vote of no-confidence and his removal.

I hope for our sake he fails. He's proven he's an expert at that!

Actually this... "meaningless lil law" is very important. The people who ran the mundane day to day government functions were Baathists. To get them back means we'll get people with experience and know-how versus the inexperience and incompetence they currently have. Here is a quote that explains what Bremer caused with his rule.

The strict implementation of so-called de-Baathification rules meant that many senior bureaucrats who knew how to run ministries, university departments and state companies were fired after 35 years of Baath party rule.

Bremer's Coalition Provisional Authority order No. 1 of May 16, 2003, had effectively stripped key government ministries, the military and top economic institutions of centuries of cumulative experience.

The order also was blamed for fueling the Sunni-dominated insurgency that took root in the late summer of 2003, under the leadership of ousted Sunni Baathists who sought vengeance against what they saw as their American tormentors.http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5g...98w8wD8U4HP9G0
This is a tremendous move forward and only helps us achieve our goal. It may not give us our RV but it will bring more security, which means less troops killed or injured and a more effective and efficiently run government, which will only help their economy, which in turn helps us reach our RV goal.

You couldn't be any more short sighted.

    Possibly, but I dont agree.

So you think that the ba'athists will bring the work of the mundane and the trivial day to day existance?!

Sorry. I am of the mind that now that the security has been in place, the rest will come into play when the money moves into the Iraqi peoples hands.

I guess we can agree to disagree.

You don't even make any sense. Do you even understand what I wrote?

What the heck does this mean? "that the ba'athists will bring the work of the mundane and the trivial day to day existance?!" Is this Arablish?

The baathists are the insurgents and they've had no jobs since 2003 so they attacked us. Give them their jobs back they'll stop attacking and security improves. This is something you disagree with?!

I'm sorry, short sighted was too complimentary.

This law is very important, key as a matter of fact, plus with Bush in the area wouldn't passing the HCL be a little much, how would that look? Really! Just wait.

Debaath was one of the benchmarks. This will help with security and reconciliation. It is a big thing.

Actually, it's even bigger than that...this shows that RECONCILIATION is not just lip service...this is just more proof that the Sunnis/Shia are working together, in spite of what some love to declare...this is HUGH...
