Hi peeps. Working in Iraq, I know how it feels to be away from loved ones this time of year. What would make a large difference in everyones life over here is to know they are remembered. This holiday season if you could find it in your hearts to address christmas cards to soldiers here in Iraq that would be wonderful. These guys need to know they have people back home that truly back them and believe in what they are doing over here. Pick a city here and mail them in by the truck loads. Mosul, Baghdad, Kirkuk, Tikrit, Fallujah, Taji, Tal Afar, etc,. Send them to any base in Iraq. We are here for these soldiers that risk their lives for our freedoms and way of life. Give a little back. Let them know you all care.

I checked online and the cost to mail a postcard is .70 and an envelope is .80. I hope everyone can find the time to mail a few.
--MRR- Can you provide any addresses to us? I wouldn't even know where to start looking for that kind of info. Thanks. frosty |

Great post MRR
Let me direct everyone to reading this article ...Christmas Day in Iraq Attacks against coalition forces continued. The actions created a somber mood on the cloudy, rainy day. But soldiers are resilient. The sun maneuvered its way from behind the clouds, and dreary spirits became jovial. Soldiers exchanged gifts and showed each other pictures of family members. Soldiers gathered around makeshift Christmas trees and comforted each other. Self-pity and sorrow turned into smiles, hugs and camaraderie. We're still alive. We're grateful for that. We have a chance to see our loved ones again.....(more) http://federalvoice.dscc.dla.mil/fed...christmas.html Here's a link from the Stars and Stripes website...scroll almost to the bottom and on the left you'll find a map...Click on it . http://www.estripes.com/ So that's where You start.....then simply address your envelope like this To: Any Soldier Camp Name (pick one from the map) APO AE (then insert name of city the camp is located by) For more suggestion check out this site from Any Soldier Inc. http://anysoldier.com/index.cfm They have got some useful links as does the Stars and Stripes website..check out this link from S & S for a list... http://www.estripes.com/webpages.asp?id=53 Even a Christmas card of LOVE PRIDE & SUPPORT is a gift everyone can give.
